About
Shawn is currently continuing Mr. Eastburn’s Master’s research on the Bagheera Kiplingi spider: the only known herbivorous spider in the world. He hopes to finally resolve the mystery behind how the spider digests plant material that its closest relatives are unable to and look into how eating plants has changed their behavior.
Shawn was born in Taichung, Taiwan and lived half of his life there before immigrating to the United States. Outside of evolutionary biology, Shawn is also passionate about International Relations and Public Policy.
